“HIV/AIDS and Gay Acceptance”
We have seen a spike in the promotion of gay or homosexual behavior, especially on television and in the movies. As predicted, America has followed the trend pushed by Hollywood. Even the military is getting in on the act. This year, the U.S. military will, for the first time, allow its members to wear a uniform at the Gay Pride Parade in San Diego, California. Yet, some 34 million people worldwide are living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which has killed over 25 million since it was first described in the 1980’s. Some experts claim that the HIV/AIDS pandemic can be controlled, but Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said, “We don’t even know if a cure is possible.”
